Carly Clark, Psy.D.

Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Carly Clark is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychology Fellow at Boston Child Study Center in Maine. She provides individual, family, and group psychotherapy and neuropsychological evaluations for individuals with cognitive and psychological concerns across their lifespan. Dr. Clark utilizes an integrative approach to psychotherapy, primarily relying on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She is also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), cognitive rehabilitation, and incorporates fundamentals of health psychology into her practice.
Dr. Clark received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont, where she majored in Human Development & Family Studies and Psychology. Following graduation, she worked as an ABA Therapist for several years before beginning her graduate studies at William James College, where she earned her Master’s and Doctoral degrees with a concentration in clinical neuropsychology. During her graduate studies, she completed several neuropsychology externships at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (Cognitive Neurology Unit), Butler Hospital (Memory and Aging Program), and school districts working with children and adolescents needing neuropsychological and psychological evaluations. She completed her predoctoral internship at the Dallas VA Medical Center, where she conducted neuropsychological evaluations and provided psychotherapy in both inpatient and outpatient settings to Veterans. She subsequently completed her first postdoctoral year specializing in neuropsychology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she conducted comprehensive and brief neuropsychological evaluations in outpatient and rehabilitation settings. She is completing her second fellowship year in neuropsychology, working with youth and adults with an array of neurocognitive concerns.
Dr. Clark has experience working with individuals across the lifespan, including adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders (i.e., ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Specific Learning Disabilities, etc.) and adults diagnosed with neurodegenerative diseases/dementia (i.e., Alzheimer’s disease, Vascular dementia, Parkinson’s disease, Progressive Primary Aphasia, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, etc.), stroke, chronic illnesses, traumatic brain injuries, and psychiatric diagnoses.
Dr. Clark’s research focuses on mindfulness and healthy lifestyle factors to enhance cognitive and emotional well-being. Her curiosity extends to the ecological validity of neuropsychological assessments and the importance of providing assessments to underserved populations. This passion for research drives her commitment to providing comprehensive and unique neuropsychological evaluations to individuals across the lifespan. Her work informs treatment and helps individuals better understand their strengths and areas for growth.
